Hello adventurers and DMs of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 15th boon of our epic boon series. Today we’re going to be taking a look at boon of recovery 5e honestly i think this is probably one of the most broken bones we’ve covered so far. Especially for high level characters, i would use it in replacement of one of our other guys as well. I’ll get that out a little bit more later. That being said, let’s take a look at the mechanics so we know exactly what boon of recovery is all about.

Mechanics
You can use a bonus action to regain a number of hit points equal to half your hit point maximum. Once you use this boon, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
This is the first long rest related boom we’ve covered all the ones up until this point have been a short rest or kind of passively applied the boon of this kind of supercedes at least in my opinion is boon of fortitude and it kind of depends on your level in your class i guess but at higher levels your hit point maximum is gonna be above 80 in most classes.
Certainly most of the combat centered classes. So it’s really cool and these two boons would stack as well, which is pretty good! This is basically meant to turn the flow of battle. Let’s get on to my personal thoughts about it.
Thoughts
Personally i would probably consider this too good to be in my campaign. I might give it to a big bad but i would never give this to player characters. There was a dwarven racial feat that’s pretty close to this in terms of how it operates but still i genuinely would not like this in my game.
It would give one character ridiculously unfair advantage survivability rise against the other ones, if i were to incorporate it i would make it very temporary kind of like your god blesses you for one fight kind of a deal, i think that’d be a fair compromise. I think that’d be fair.
