Today we’re going to be taking a look at one of these absolute strongest boons out there boon of spell recall at a glance it doesn’t sound too terribly impressive but let me assure you if this could cause some real havoc for a unsuspecting DM. That being said, let’s take a look at its mechanics.

Mechanics
You can cast any spell you know or have prepared without expending a spell slot. Once you do so, you can’t use this boon again until you finish a long rest.
Wow so the problem is the lack of a level cap by the way. Meaning if you’re a higher level caster this basically gets you a 9th level spell slot just for free. Really it’s quite good in that regard one could say maybe even game breaking depending on what 9th level spell you’re talking about. Let’s move on to my personal thoughts. Also check out this demonic boon 5e.
Thoughts
In terms of ways i could fix this so i’d allow in my games i’d just put a level cap on it you know, make it something like man i don’t even know…..pick max out of like 5th or 6th level something like that you know (i’d pick word of recall 5e), play it by ear you know your players better than i do so but it’s something like that would probably be the best either that or just make it a temporary boon like a temporary blessing from a deity, that would really work as well or maybe even throw in a caveat you know, like each time you use it you reduce your hit point maximum by a roll of your hit point die something like that. That might work as well. Don’t miss this minor boons 5e.
