Hello adventurer’s and DM’s of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 14th episode of our epic boons 5e series. Today we’re going to be taking a look at boon of quick casting 5E thhis is one of my personal favorites we’ve covered so far. Just because of how useful it is even at lower levels. I really do like it. That being said, let’s take a look at its mechanics so we can kind of get a better idea of what it’s getting at.

Mechanics
Choose one of your spells of 1st through 3rd level that has a casting time of 1 action. That spell’s casting time is now 1 bonus action for you.
Really good stuff! I want to make a note that this still only lets you cast one spell per round or at least one true spell per round. It’s you can cast a spell on a casntrip but you can’t cast two spells if that makes sense. So it’s basically just the quickening meta magic for sorcerers but kind of permanently buffed to one spell. Apart from this you may also like to read about dnd items that increase strength.
I think it’s really cool personally and i definitely allow it even a maybe like 10th level i’d probably introduce it, 8th or 10th level somewhere on there. So it can be used at low levels and it’s just really useful, i really like it. Let’s get on to my thoughts about it. Also read minor boons 5e.
Thoughts
I mentioned earlier, i really like it in terms of how i would incorporate into the game. I’d probably give it as a reward for defeating some big bad, you know like an arcane caster of high-level something like that or maybe drinking a certain potion that magically enhances abilities but makes your breath smell really bad something kind of funny like that, i think that’d be a cool way of doing it. I don’t consider this one to be inherently broken but i really do like it regardless. Also read what is the boon of speed in d&d?.
The Spirit guardians would be buff a cleric notably. Call lightning might allow for two strikes on an initial casting turn. Of course the Bless would allow a caster in order to advantage from accuracy enhance on turn casted. Dissonant whispers could have also been cause a creature you hit with booming blade to take an additional damage, while also incurring an attack of opportunity.
Entangle and fairy fire could be taken advantage of same turn similar to bless. False life and armor of agathys could be used similar turn as the PC spending action to dodge. Heroism spells usefulness would skyrocket. A martial PC casting enlarge/reduce, haste, elemental weapon, crusaders mantle, etc on itself as a bonus action is wonderful too. Ultimately this boon increases the usefulness of the spell chosen by several levels while still keeping its cost low. Absolutely amazing boon. These are some great ideas.
Conclusion
