Heroism Spell DnD 5E

Hello spellcasters of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 45th episode of our first level spell series. Today we’re going to be taking a look at heroism 5e spell usable only by the bard and paladin meaning its found on their spell lists. There are other ways to get access to it but it’s on those lists and it is found in the player’s handbook.

This one is super cool! I really like what it does, not just thematically but mechanically as well i think this is probably one of the best support spell in the game. In any case let’s break it down why that is here in the mechanics section. In any case you can also check out this potion of heroism 5e.

Mechanics

  • Level: 1st
  • Casting Time: 1 Action
  • Range/Area: Touch
  • Components: V, S
  • Duration: 1 Minute (Concentration)
  • School: Enchantment
  • Attack/Save: None
  • Damage/Effect: Buff

Your cast time is the standard one action, The range is touch, the duration is for is one minute and it is a concentration spell so you can only focus on one concentration spell at a time if you get hit you have to make concentration checks stuff like that. The effect at a glance is as followed. In any case you can also check out this 5th dnd classes.

A willing creature you touch cannot be frightened. And gains temp hp and they are equal to spellcasting modifier at the start of each of its turns. Keep reading heavy crossbow 5e.

At higher levels you can target one additional creature for each spell slot level above 1st. Pretty cool! The components are somatic and verbal and the school is enchantment. Which is all very nice stuff! I really do like the way it stacked up, it’s skills super well when it comes to levels, it’s super effective at each level and its always gonna retain its usefulness. In any case let’s take a look at the full description, so we get the exact wording. You can also read this halberd 5e.

Description

A willing creature you touch is imbued with bravery. Until the spell ends, the creature is immune to being frightened and gains temporary hit points equal to your spellcasting ability modifier at the start of each of its turns. When the spell ends, the target loses any remaining temporary hit points from this spell.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 1st.

Okay something i really wanna clarify here real quick, those temporary hit points by the rules applied to temporary hit points, do not stack so assuming you have a spellcasting modifier let’s say three because this is a farily early level spell, on the end three temporary hit points when they take 3 damage those go away naturally and any thing additional goes through to their direct hit points. Apart from this if you’re interested in backgrounds then read hermit background 5e.

But if they’re unattacked because doesn’t lean they’ve six the next turn. It’s just mean to solve the three, it’ll be the larger of the two which should predominantly the three. In any case from the homebrew it works differently i suppose you can but then that by raw how it works. That being said, let’s take a look at some alternative uses here. Also read half elf 5e.

Alternative Uses

The best one i could think of kind it plays on the wording a little bit here. So it doesn’t say any at any point that the creature has to remain visible during this spells duration. So what that means is if your party stucking bluditorial combat and you forced to find one at a time or one if your party members is force to find on their own, cast this on them it will put in a vasely superior position. You can also check out this hexblade warlock.

So not only does in that specify has to able to maintain like sight with him, there’s no range limitation on this at all. The only limitation really is the 1 minute on duration, quite frankly most fight storm last 10 rounds to begin with. So i think you’re well in the green naire i think that’s incredibly useful for this. Don’t miss this healing potion 5e.

I really just genuinely like it, the temporary hit points is super nice it’s essentially treated as damage reduction and heavy armor master if you remember gets you pseduo damage reduction but it doesn’t apply to magical damage right!  So this is it in my opinion a vastly superior way to go. Also read herbalism kit 5e.

Conclusion
