Today we’re going to be taking a look at boon of combat prowess this is a pretty cool wide and you know honestly i think i might allow it it my game. That being said, let’s take a look at its mechanics. It reads as followed.

Mechanics
When you miss with a melee weapon attack, you can choose to hit instead. Once you use this boon, you can’t use it again until you finish a short rest.
I really like it, you know i just i like how simple it is. I like how easy it is to understand and to be quite honest with you, i don’t find to be particularly game breaking. Mechanically how i would dm this to work is your hit would become the AC. If that makes sense. So attacker naturally speaking has it rounds towards the attacker right! So i just have it do that. Thoughts
As i mentioned earlier i definitely allow in my game, i don’t see why not. The only time time i would find it to be particularly broken would be if they were trying to hit a creature that they just physically lack to the weapons to hit. You know like if it’s a creature that was immune to normal damage and they were hitting it with normal weapons. You can also read this what is the boon of dimensional travel?.
So i’d have to change up the wording a little bit or at the very least explain at all the characters involved. In terms of who would probably deserve at most, i probably say the melee assassin for sure. Makes sense because they get that sneak attack, they get that assassinate ability, they already have advantage on their first right so, if they miss i think that’d be a good way to kind of make sure their session wasn’t at the very least ruined a little bit you know.
In terms of anyone else i’d probably give it to the ranger as well. Any finessed based character i could see getting a lot of use out of this barbarians to most melee classes. Also read what is the boon of intellect?.

How would you incorporate this into your game you know i’d probably offered as a reward for let’s say destroying like razor i think that’d be an interesting way to do it.
