Description

First and foremost there is no prerequisite. So anyone of any level, of any spell list abilities or any features can take this with no problem and it reads as followed.

You can cast false life on yourself at will as a 1st-level spell, without expending a spell slot or material components.

It might be worth noting it does still take an action, it’s not instantaneous but outside of that, that’s about it.

We have actually done an article on false life dnd 5e at the time this article is being produced. So you can just click on the following link if you want to check it out feel more than welcome to. But let’s just take it to the overview section in this case. You can also read what is agonizing blast 5e? if you missed in case.

Overview

When you boil it down, you essentially gain a 1d4 plus 4 temporary hit points.

That’s it, there’s not really whole lot to dissect. This is really good though because you can kind of cast it back to back so essentially you will always enter into combat with 1d4 + 4 temporary hit points. It’s kind of sad, because hit points don’t stack so you can’t stack this with armor of agathys. In any case you can also check out the comparision fiendish vigor vs armor of agathys.

Outside of that though, i do think this is really good. These temporary hit points are really nice if you’re concentrating on a spell as well. Because that concentration roll will be deducted by or the DC will be deducted by how many temporary hit points you had, so that’s really nice. In any case you can also check out this what is the voice of the chain master?
