Description

So it reads as followed…..When another creature damages you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and expend one superiority die to reduce the damage by the number you roll on your superiority die + your Dexterity modifier.

Pretty cool stuff there! You know this is really good for those dex based fighters out there, in terms of strength based ones i wouldn’t even take a look at this unless you want a homebrew where dex can also be substitute for strength. In any case let’s check out the overview and break it down a little bit further.

Overview

So essentially when you’re hit with a melee attack you can expend a superiority die and use a reaction. Reduce the damage by your roll plus the dex modifier.

Really cool! In terms of if you’re a little bit squishier or going up against something that has some kind of a status effect or a multiplecative effect something like that. Also check out this what is the sweeping maneuver in 5e?

Is it great in my opinion…no not really doesn’t have use though yeah definitely…if you’re in a tight bind this is great. You can also read this what is the snipe maneuver in 5e?
