Hello warlocks of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 7th episode of our unearthed arcana eldritch invocation series. This is all playtested and this one was actually folded into a core invocation but unearthed arcana is where wizard playtests a lot of their ideas and then takes notes from us.
So some people play with it, some people don’t just run this past your DM. Today we’re going to be taking a look at cloak of baalzebul 5e. In any case this later turned into an actual invocation can get as part of the core rules. Let’s see if you can figure out which one. Let’s look at the description here. In any case you can also read cloak of protection 5e.
Table of Contents
First and foremost there is a prerequisite and that is you have to pick the fiend as your patron. All right make sense right! The description reads as followed.
If you haven’t guessed it this is what cloak of flies started as, pretty cool! The biggest difference is between the two, the fiend patron part and you can do a cloak of baalzebul at any time whereas cloak of the flies it’s once on per short or long rest. In any case let’s take a look at the overview and break this down. You may also like to read this cloak of bat 5e.
Essentially use a bonus action to surrounds yourself with a swarm of flies. It extends 5ft in every direction, with the exception of total cover, you have advantage on intimidation checks, but have disadvantage on all other checks. All creatures who start its turn within the aura take poison damage equal to your charisma modifier.
Pretty cool stuff! I really like it, i just go with the really invocation though it’s really not worth debating with your DM over this one. Also read cloak of billowing 5e cost.
In any case guys if you can come up with any cool ways to use it please put it down in the comment section below. That being said, thank you so much for checking out and as always have a great day and happy casting.
