Eldritch Smite 5E Invocation

Hello warlocks of al shapes and sizes!  Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 14th episode of our eldritch invocations 5e this is probably one of the best invocations and i’ve ever come across at least as of yet. Honestly i was completely unaware this even existed until literally today and my god is this a hot tomale really good for a specific kind of build but i’ll get to that a little bit later.

Today we’re gonna be taking a look at eldritch smite 5e for when you want to put the smackdown in the name of your patron. Honestly this is a great one. Let’s look at the description so you can kind of get what i’m so excited about. In any case you can also check out this eldritch smite vs divine smite.

There is a prerequisite for this before we get too far ahead, you have to be atleast 5th level and that is five levels of in warlock, it’s not five total character levels and you have to go with the pact of the blade feature and it reads as followed so that you can get to know the answer for what is eldritch smite 5e?.

Once per turn when you hit a creature with your pact weapon, you can expend a warlock spell slot to deal an extra 1d8 force damage to the target, plus another 1d8 per level of the spell slot, and you can knock the target prone if it is Huge or smaller.

So so so good! My goodness this is awesome. Let’s take a look at the overview and kind of flesh of why this is so great! However we also recommend you to read can you smite twice in a turn 5e?

Once per turn expand a warlock spell slot and deal 1d8 plus the slot level times another 1d8 force damage with your pact weapon, you can also knock the target prone, as long as it is huge or smaller.

So what that means is if you use like, if you’re at the point where you have like fifth level warlock spells let’s say and you burn a spell slot for this, that is 1d8 plus an additional 5d8 of force damage which virtually no one’s resistant to which is super great. That’s an addition to whatever damage die the weapons already using. You can also read eldritch adept 5e.

It might be worth noting that at later levels you can grab the improved pact weapon invocation and that would actually let you use your ranged weapons as well. So you can see with a longbow for example, how this could be absolutely broken. Raindown absolute carnage from above using ridiculously long range especially if you mix in something like sharpshooter that is ridiculously absurd. Also read does eldritch smite crit.

Throw something like hex or anything like that then you’re just this is so strong. If you’re planning on playing a warlock 5e that is not always gonna be just spamming eldritch blast 5e i would highly recommend taking a look at this. This is i’m baffled by how good this is. Also read this eldritch horror.

In any case if you have any thoughts, feelings, ideas, or things i might have missed please put them down in the comments below i really appreciate it, you were all super great to work with and i mean i just enjoyed working with you guys.
