Today we’re going to be taking a look at misty visions dnd 5e this is actually a debated point between myself and a fellow player of mine carter, he really likes to abuse this one and he kind of can, i’ll explain them a little bit. That being said, let’s take a look at the description and break this down just a little bit.
Description
First and foremost there’s no prerequisite meaning anyone of any level, or of any feature, or of any current spell list can pick it and it written down as follows.
You can cast silent image 5e at will, without expending a spell slot or material components.

Overview
Choose a point within 60 feet, You can create a visual illusion that must fit within a 15 foot cube. You can use an action to move and animate the image. Up on physical inspection a creature can use its action to make an investigation check versus your spell save DC. On a success they become aware of the illusion.
So what my buddy carter is thinking about doing with this is essentially using it to permanently disguise yourself or to create full half or three-quarters cover for yourself. Which i would personally allow honestly it doesn’t strike me as outside of the realm of possibilities that this can be used to create shrubbery nor does it strike me as weird you can use that create other creatures if anything the spell actively encourages it. So this is one of those interesting ones where it is really easy to break the game and especially since you can animate it. I would essentially allow this to have the same effect as mask of many faces would. Yeah that’s fair, it is concentration though so mask of many faces would have it beat out in that regard but outside of that i think this is pretty impressive as well.
Alternatively you could also use it to disguise your enemies as someone who they’re pure use an enemy if that makes sense, so make the guy you’re fighting against to look like you, so their underlings attack to that, if that makes sense. You can also check out this can darkvision see through fog.
