Boon of Luck 5E

Hello adventurers and dungeon master’s alike, welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 9th boon in our epic boons series. Today we’re going to be taking a look at dnd boon of luck, i really like this one, i really do. I think it’s kind of cool and i don’t inherently see an issue with it, if i’m gonna be brutally honest with you.

It actually reminds me a lot of another boon that we’ve covered and i’ll cover the differences here in a bit. That being said, let’s take a look at its mechanics.

You can add a d10 roll to any ability check, attack roll, or saving throw you make. Once you use this boon, you can’t use it again until you finish a short rest.

So what that boon that this is incredibly similar to is boon of fate however it’s not really as good, so a couple reasons here. First and foremost a boon of fate can actually be applied to other creatures and it does have a range of 60 feet which is actually pretty decent when you think about it.

You can decide whether or not that d10 roll adds or subtracts from their roll. i guess this is a little bit nicer than the way that it allows you to target yourself and i guess boon of fate technically doesn’t at least not the way it’s worded. So i think it kind of depends, i hold yeah let’s get to my personal thoughts on it.

I hold the same belief that i held boon of fate. I probably allow this as a feat in all honesty. It’s not inherently game breaking at least i don’t think so. It’s cool and it gives you the potential of hitting like those impossible difficulty checks i guess. But i don’t and handily see anything wrong with it.

It’s only once per short rest, luck is technically speaking better than that if you’re counting kind of successes, failures right! and i mean mechanically it kind of does the same thing that bless does right. So i don’t know i like it, that allowed as a feat.

That being said guys, thank you so much for checking out today, i really do appreciate it. I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always happy casting.
