Trickster’s Escape 5E Invocation

Hello warlocks of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 42nd episode of our eldritch invocations series today we’re looking at a pretty cool one, we’re looking at trickster’s escape 5e dnd now this is really useful for warlocks who have nasty habit of getting into trouble where they probably shouldn’t.

Outside of that i really like the roleplay aspect this provides as well as the circumstantial comedic relief. You can also turn this into a pretty cool profession if your warlock is a magician or does just kooky tricks. In any case let’s take a look at the description so we know what we’re talking about.

Description

First and foremost this could be worth noting that there is a prerequisite here and that is they have to be seventh level. This means seven levels in warlock 5e doesn’t mean seven total character levels so just bear that in mind. It reads as followed.

You can cast freedom of movement once on yourself without expending a spell slot. You regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.

So pretty cool stuff there! I really do like it and we’ve seen a lot of other invocations like this in the past so without further ado let’s take a look at the overview. In any case you can also check out do eldritch invocations give you spells?.

Overview

Essentially it reads as followed: For an hour, you are unaffected by magic that targets movement (This by the way includes paralyzation) which is pretty cool. You can also use 5ft of movement to escape from non magical restraints (Including creatures…grappling namely right!). Difficult terrain and being underwater don’t impose penalties either. In any case you can also read this how does eldritch sight work?

Really really cool stuff here! I really like this one. You can see how a magician, a stage magician rather would really get a lot of bang for their buck out of this. Same with a lot of thieves i would consider this to be a very kind of fifi kind of thing you know. Yeah i just really like it, a great roleplay super thematic stuff of that nature. You can also read what is the aspect of the moon eldritch invocation?

Conclusion

In any case guys, that’ll be about it for trickster’s escape. If you have any cool ideas, combinations or interesting ways to use this i’d really like to hear it down below in the comment section, i really appreciate it when you guys take the time out of your day let me know what you’re thinking, it really does make my day. In any case guys i hope you all have a wonderful day and as always happy casting.
