Description

First and foremost there is a prerequisite here and that is you have to be at least seventh level and that is seven levels of warlock 5e by the way not seven total character levels and you have to have a hex spell or a warlock feature that curses namely haxblades curse sign of the home and stuff like that. In any case the description reads as followed.

Your curse creates a temporary bond between you and your target. As a bonus action, you can magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see within 5 feet of the target cursed by your hex spell or by a warlock feature of yours, such as Hexblade’s Curse or Sign of Ill Omen. To teleport in this way, you must be able to see the cursed target.

Pretty cool stuff! Honestly i absolutely love this. Let’s break it down a little bit in the overview section just to simplify. You can also read what is the devil’s sight spell?

Overview

Use a bonus action to teleport up to 30 feet to a space within 5ft of a visible cursed target.

Needless to say for those hexblade warlocks who love being in close proximity, this essentially makes it so your targets can never really get away from you. I mean it doesn’t consume movement, it only consumes up bonus actions so you can get the 30 feet of free movement to get right up in their face and then you can move your 30 feet as well or whatever ways you are doesn’t really make a difference for this analogy. Just as actually lets you track them down no matter what, i really like this…i think it’s super awesome. It might be worth noting that technically speaking you can perform this on an airborne target and then kind of grapple them back to the ground. I think that’d be super cool to watch happen and i definitely allowed one of my games, thematically i just think this is so cool 🙂 In any case you can also checkout this does maddening hex trigger hex damage.

I’m imagining you like disappear inside your own shadow and then re-emerging from there so i just think the visual behind it is so cool. Now i would certainly allow your first attack to be made with advantage on this just me as a DM. But by raw technically not, at least not normally there might be extenuating circumstances but i would certainly allow it one of my games.
