You can also read this precision attack 5e.

Description

You can expend one superiority die and use a bonus action on your turn to feint, choosing one creature within 5 feet of you as your target. You have advantage on your next attack roll against that creature this turn. If that attack hits, add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll.

Pretty cool stuff! Let’s take a look at the overview and break that down a little bit further. In any case you may also like to read the difference between feinting attack vs precision attack.

Overview

Essentially what it breaks down to is expend a superiority dice 5e, and a bonus action to feint out a creature within 5 feet of you. You have advantage on your next attck roll against that creature this turn. Should the attack hit, add the superiority die feinting attack maneuver 5e roll to your damage. Oh man! Roll play i really like this, i think is alike and deal with it. Mechanically i find it to be a little bit underwhelming. Mostly because it uses your bonus action. My problem with that is there’s a lot of classes out there. Where if you multiclass or pick as up as the maneuver feat you’re not gonna be able to do very much. Also read this what is the precision maneuver?

So this kind of kills multi classing in a lot of ways which i’m not a huge fan of but if you’re a strictly battle master class and you really need to hit something, this is one of the better ways to do it. In all honesty whether or not you pick this will depend heavily on your playstyle and the kind of encounters or DM’s running. If you’re going up against a lot of high AC targets and if you’re constantly within melee range i think this one make a lot of sense to at least have in your arsenal. Also check out can you sneak attack with unarmed strike 5e. and what is the bait and switch maneuver in 5e

Conclusion

That being said, i find it to be mechanically a little underwhelming but i mean i might be wrong, if you have any ideas on how to use feinting attack 5e more effectively, any cool stories, any comments, concerns or questions please take it down to the comments below.
