Grasp of Hadar 5E Invocation (UA)

Hello warlocks of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 12th episode of our eldritch invocations unearthed arcana series. Today we’re going to be taking a look at grasp of hadar if you think this sounds familiar that’s because it is we’ve covered this before, it’s part of the core rules i’m just covering it because technically at one point it was part of unearthed arcana. In any case let’s take a look at the description.

Description

There used to be two prerequisites one being the great old one patron and one being the eldritch blast cantrip. It’s still the case that you need to be able to cast eldritch blast but the great old one part has been removed. It written down.

Once during your turn when you hit a creature with your eldritch blast cantrip, you can move that creature in a straight line 10 feet closer to yourself.

That hasn’t changed really at all, let’s get to the overview.

Overview

Essentially once per turn you can pull the creature towards you after you hit them with an eldritch blast.

Really cool! Pull in ten feet towards you, that’s about it. The ten-foot movement doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity because it’s considerably forced movement. Yeah i’m not really whole lot to breakdown when it comes to this one because it’s already been done in a previous article of mine actually.

Conclusion

In any case if you have any cool ideas, uses, strategies anything like that please put them down in the comments beneath i really do appreciate it. That being said, i hope you all have a great day and as always happy casting.
