Hello warlocks of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the first episode of our unearthed arcana eldritch invocation series. If you’re not familiar unearthed arcana is essentially where wizards released a lot of play testable material, it’s not part of the core rules so you can’t really play adventurers league with it or anything like that but run it past your dm if you’d like to use any of these that i’m sure they’d agree at least for most of them.
That being said, there’s a couple in here that are just gonna be exactly the same as the core ones, reason being it was play tested in here was modified and reintroduced. So if you notice some of these are almost identical that’s why, speaking of the first one we’re gonna be covering just going in alphabetical order here is aspect of the moon.
You’ll notice that this one is literally exactly the same name as one we’ve covered previously and it does essentially the same thing with one key difference. In any case let’s look into what that is exactly in the description section here.
Description
The key is in the prerequisite. In the past the prerequisite was it had to be to have gone with the pact of the tome. Now it’s you have to be the archfey patron. That’s the only difference. The description reads as followed.
You have gained the Maiden of the Moon’s favor. You no longer need to sleep and can’t be forced to sleep by any means. To gain the benefits of a long rest, you can spend all 8 hours doing light activity, such as reading and keeping watch.
Once again exactly the same as the normal aspect of the moon. The only difference is the patron and let’s take a look at the overview and break it down a little bit.
Overview
You can do 8 hours of light activity instead of sleep. You cannot be forced to sleep.
So once again exactly the same. This is really good for the coffeelock if you know what that is great, if you don’t it’s where your multi class with warlock and sorcerer and you take the warlock spell slots which are gained on a short rest convert them into sorcerery points and convert them into sorcerery spells up to fifth level and then you keep just doing that because you get your warlock spellslots back on a short rest, you can kind of exploit the game a little bit that way. It’s literally aspect of the moon, completely the same other than the patron.
Conclusion
