This sprite is perfect for any good aligned characters or any whimsical characters out there as well. That being said, let’s take a look at its stats. You can also read this quasit 5e familiar.

Sprite DnD 5E Familiar Stats

In secret groves and shaded glens, tiny sprites with dragonfly wings flutter. For all their fey splendor, however, sprites lack warmth and compassion. They are aggressive and hardy warriors, taking severe measures to ward strangers away from their homes. Interlopers that come too close have their moral character judged, then are put to sleep or frightened off. Also read imp 5e.

Forest Protectors. Sprites build little villages in the boughs of trees and willing treants, in verdant glades brightened by moss, wild flowers, and toadstools. Wild nature thrives, and the sprites allow no trespassers. When intruders are spotted, the sprites lead them astray with ominous rustling from the bushes and distant snapping twigs. Also check out pseudodragon 5e.

Creatures foolish enough to persist in intruding on a sprite’s territory are stung with poisoned arrows and lulled into a senseless sleep. While they slumber, the sprites make good their escape, retreating to an even more secluded area of the forest.

Heart Seers. Sprites can sense whether a creature is good or evil by the sound and feeling of its beating heart. Weighing the balance of a creature’s past actions, a sprite can tell whether its heart beats rapidly in love or flags in sorrow, or whether it is darkened by hate or greed. The sprite’s power to perceive the heart always shows the truth, because the heart can’t lie.

Poison Brewers. In their forest domains, sprites brew toxins, unguents, antidotes, and poisons, including the sleep poison with which they coat their arrows. They venture far into the woods to harvest rare flowers, mosses, and fungi, sometimes crossing dangerous territory to do so. If desperate, sprites even steal their ingredients from the gardens of hags.

Good-Hearted. Because they are judges of the heart and favor good creatures, sprites oppose the will of evil fey and pledge to thwart evil archfey at every turn. If they encounter adventurers on a quest to rid their forest of an evil fey creature or goblinoid menace, they will pledge their support and even come to their aid when the adventurers least expect it.

Unlike pixies, sprites rarely indulge in frivolous merriment and fun. They are firm warriors, protectors, and judges, and their stern bent causes other fey to consider them overly dour and serious. However, fey that respect the sprites’ territory find them staunch allies in times of trouble.

  • Sprite: Tiny fey, neutral good
  • Armor Class: 15 (Leather Armor); Hit Points: 2 (1d4); Speed: Walk 10 ft., fly 40 ft.
  • STR: 3 (-4)
  • DEX: 18 (+4)
  • CON: 10 (+0)
  • INT: 14 (+2)
  • WIS: 13 (+1)
  • CHA: 11 (+0)
  • Skills: Perception +3, Stealth +8
  • Senses: Passive Perception 13
  • Languages: Common, Elvish, Sylvan
  • Challenge: 1/4 (50 XP)
  • Actions: Longsword: Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 slashing damage.
  • Shortbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 40/160 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. If its saving throw result is 5 or lower, the poisoned target falls unconscious for the same duration, or until it takes damage or another creature takes an action to shake it awake.
  • Heart Sight: The sprite touches a creature and magically knows the creature’s current emotional state. If the target fails a DC 10 Charisma saving throw, the sprite also knows the creature’s alignment. Celestials, fiends, and undead automatically fail the saving throw.
  • Invisibility: The sprite magically turns invisible until it attacks or casts a spell, or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Any equipment the sprite wears or carries is invisible with it. However do not miss out spells dnd 5e.

So they’re counted as a tiny fey, they are neutral good which is pretty interesting. And even more so interesting is their AC. They have an AC of 15 which is not only the highest familiar we’ve covered. But it is also higher than most casters. Which is interesting this because they’ve leather armor on which is kind of cool you think about it. At least kind of cool what it implies. Also check out this what dnd classes can have familiars.

They have two hp which isn’t like great but i mean they got a high AC to to balance that out so it’s pretty good. You got a walk speed of 10 feet and fly speed of 40 so they’re gonna be up in the air most the time. I will look at their stats it’s pretty cool. Check out this 5e familiar rules.

So their strength is by far their weakness out of -4 which kind of makes sense me think about it. But their dexterity is ungodgly it’s a plus four man i know most characters who never even get that high. When you look at their skills, +3 to perception which is super great but even better is a +8 to stealth which is just broken in my opinion but whatever passive perception of 13 they don’t get darkvision or anything else like a lot of the other ones do which is fine +8 to stealth kind of make for that. They got three languages as well common, elvish and sylvan whic is very very cool stuff!

Honestly i really like how this stacks up, there’s no resistances, no immunities none of that so this is pretty simple. You get ridiculous stealth and ridiculously high dexterity and a fly speed. I think that’s pretty good. It’s even better when you mix in the leather armor. That being said, let’s take a look at its actions. Keep reading this can a sorcerer have a familiar 5e.

So it doesn’t have any special traits but it does have four actions you can pick from. The first of which being a longsword which is +2 to hit and it hits for one slashing damage. It’s not a roll, it’s just one damage that’s about it. Not super impressive. Also read satyr 5e.

They can also use a shortbow which has +6 to hit, range up to 40 feet and if you want to accept disadvantage you can go as far as 160 feet which is great, it does one piercing damage as well but it is poisoned. So they got to make a DC 10 constitution saving throw or they’re gonna be poisoned for one minute. If the saving throw result is 5 or lower they fall unconscious which is pretty interesting takes a creatures action to wake it up stuff like that, pretty good! Also read this scale mail 5e.

They can turn invisible as well until they make an attack or cast a spell or until its concentration and so same invisibility stuff and then heart sight this is one of the coolest abilities in the game as far as i’m concerned because the answer is an interesting question. So this essentially touch a creature and you know it’s emotional state. If it fails a charisma saving throw, you know its alignment which is super cool when you think about it. Don’t miss this simple weapons 5e.

Whether or not you because PCs or NPCs can willingly fail saving throws, so if you get one to willingly fail this you can know whether or not that person is likely to be trustworthy or whether or not the they’re likely to betray you. I could see this personally unravelling campaigns. Also check out sprite dnd 5e race.

Which is pretty interesting, honestly i really like the sprite. It is one of the cooler ones out there from a thematic point of view. I would role play it as a little bit of a troublemaker all in good spirit but a little bit of a troublemaker. What’s itneresting about the fact that it can wear leather armor as well is that, because of that it implies that it can actually wield enchanted leather armor. Don’t miss this article fire sprite dnd 5e.

Same with the longsword and the shortbow 5e you can potentially give it enchanted variants so this sprite can stack with levels a little bit more effectively than the other familairs can. Also read sprite vs pixie 5e.

Conclusion
