Today we’re going to be taking a look at armor of shadows 5e. The perfect invocation of pick if you’re planning on playing a gish caster who is gonna be really short quarters combat and right in the thick of battle. Description
First and foremost it’ll be worth noting that there is no prerequisite for this. You touch a willing creature who isn’t wearing armor, and a protective magical force surrounds it until the spell ends. The target’s base AC becomes 13 + its Dexterity modifier. The spell ends if the target dons armor or if you dismiss the spell as an action. * – (a piece of cured leather)
Overview
So with mage armor 5e your base AC becomes 13 plus it’s dexterity modifier and this lasts for 8 hours.
So pretty handy to have when you get in the thick of it. Honestly i really like it and i think it’s indispensable, especially if you’re playing a gish character or a hexblade warlock i would consider this all but mandatory. Unless it’s just a solid pick even if you’re not.
So how many times can you use armor of shadows? Suppose, If an invocation does not mention a limit, then there is option for unlimit. Invocations like Eldritch Sight, Misty Visions, and Armor of Shadows can be used as thoroughly as the player likes in a good way though, so there is no rules on it.
