Description

You extend your hand toward a creature you can see within range and project a puff of noxious gas from your palm. The creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 1d12 poison damage. This spell’s damage increases by 1d12 when you reach 5th level (2d12), 11th level (3d12), and 17th level (4d12).

So in terms of how effective this cantrip is in all honesty it’s not super. Mostly because poison damage almost everything has resistance is to it, if not immunity is, there i don’t think there’s any monster in all honesty that is very effective by the way or as weak poison rather it’s a very common, very common in resistance. In any case thematically very cool! Let’s take a look at some alternative uses here. You can also check out how to use poison in dnd 5e.

Alternative Uses

The only one i could really think of it would be pest control in all honesty. That be about it, i mean if you were playing a chaotic evil character that was modeled after the joker i think this could be a pretty fun spell to play along with. Outside of that i can’t really think of too much. Do you know how does color spray work 5e.
