Guidance DnD 5E Spell

Hello spellcasters of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 15th entry in our cantrip series. Today we’re gonna be looking at the one the only the helping hand guidance 5e spell. Usable by the cleric and the druid and found in the good old fashion player’s handbook. Let’s take a look at some mechanics here.

  • Level: Cantrip
  • Casting Time: 1 Action
  • Range/Area: Touch
  • Components: V, S
  • Duration: 1 Minute
  • School: Divination
  • Attack/Save: None
  • Damage/Effect: Buff

The cast time is one action, the range is touch, the duration is one minute and it is a concentration spell so just kind of bear that in mind. The effect is to touch a willing creature, they can roll an extra die 4 on one ability check and can be rolled before or after making the check. You can also read initiative bonus 5e.

The components are somatic and verbal and the school is the divination. So very interesting stuff, very cool let’s take a look at the full description here so that we can get to know how to use guidance 5e. Click on dnd 5e guidance on self.

You touch one willing creature. Once before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to one ability check of its choice. It can roll the die before or after making the ability check. Then the spell ends.

So very cool stuff overall i really do of surprise but i actually seen this one more frequently. But whatever it could even those lesser known ones so very cool, tons of uses for it. Let’s get into some alternative uses here.

Alternative Uses

I would like to point out that you can use this on anything whether or not that. As long as it’s a willing creature. So if you have a friendly NPC a guard or someone who want to give a little extra oomph to might help with a quest or help you on vice versa you could do that.

You can also use it on animal companions or even monster companions if you happen to have an assassins quite a versatile spell could really help a lot of circumstances and honestly should i play a cleric in the near future here i am definitely gonna grab this one definitely. In any case can you stack guidance 5e then i would say cannot stack because they are restricted to various rolls

All right! If you have any alternative uses of your own or if you have any cool stories involving this spell please comment them down below i’d be super interested in looking into them. With that in mind i hope you guys have a great day and happy casting. Also read these posts cure wounds 5e | bless 5e | spare the dying 5e | sacred flame 5e | guiding bolt 5e | dnd 5e reaction.
