DnD Pig Monster

Hello zoologists of all shapes and sies! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 22nd episode of our  beast series. Today we’re looking at a very strange case, we’re looking at the pig but it’s strange because this particular beast isn’t actually found anywhere in the basic rule set, which is really weird. Instead its actually located under the storm king’s thunder supplement which is really interesting stuff.

There’s actually three cr0 monsters found in there, pretty sure! I think it’s the pig, the sheep and the tressym i believe is all of them, i don’t know anyways be covering them in a bit here. So the pig is relatively unexciting creature, it is pretty boring. Let’s check out his stats. Also check out is there a pig race in d&d?.

Pig DnD 5E Stat Block

  • Type: Medium beast, unaligned
  • Armor Class: 10 (Natural Armor)
  • Hit Points: 5 (1d8 + 1)
  • Speed: 30 ft.

So he’s considered to be a medium beast and like most beasts he’s unaligned. AC of 10, five hit points which is actually a little bit more than a lot of other beasts we’ve been covering. Calculated by rolling a d8 and then adding one to it and he has a movement speed of 30 feet which puts him in line with most medium creatures. Now looking at its actual stats. DnD Pig Monster Stats

  • STR: 13 (+1)
  • DEX: 11 (+0)
  • CON: 12 (+1)
  • INT: 2 (-4)
  • WIS: 9 (-1)
  • CHA: 5 (-3)
  • Senses: Passive Perception 9
  • Languages:
  • Challenge: 0 (10 XP)

He’s a little bit strong, a little bit of constitution but not overly bright or really good at anything else. He only has one sense and that’s his passive perception of nine. Outside of that there’s nothing to really report on them too too much. I think they’re great animal to provide to your party as a food source or maybe even as a kind of just background NPC kind of creature. Do you know what are the unkillable monsters in d&d?
