Path of the Seeker 5E Invocation (UA)

Hello warlocks of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 17th episode of our  eldritch invocations unearthed arcana series. Today we are looking at path of the seeker 5e. The seeker is an interesting patron i haven’t really seen anyone discuss it too too much. It was part of like the regional original beta testing. Apart from this you may also like to read warlock 5e.

We might get into if there’s enough demand and enough time for it but probably not any time in the foreseeable future, i do apologize for that there’s just a lot of crazy stuff happening in 5e right now and i am terribly far behind a lot of the other creators so i got to try and catch up as fast as i can. That being said, let’s take a look at description so we know what we’re talking about. In any case you can also check out dnd seeker monster.

Description

This is another one of those invocation that’s gonna be very similar to one that already exists in the core rules, so let’s see if you can find it out. The prerequisite is you have to pick the seeker patron and it reads as followed.

The Seeker bids you to travel in search of knowledge, and little can prevent you from waling this path. You ignore difficult terrain, have advantage on all checks to escape a grapple, manacles, or rope bindings, and advantage on saving throws against being paralyzed.

So which one is as close to, if you guess tricksters escape you’d be right! The tricksters escape is a lot better in almost every way that i can think of, now the only real downside is that seventh level requirement but you know say love you. That being said, let’s take a look at the overview.

Overview

Difficult terrain is ignored and you have advantage on checks and saves regarding mobility.

I think that’s really cool! i like this one. I’d probably allow in my games i don’t see why not, it’d be great way to kind of set up that tricky character that slides through people’s grasps early on, i’d essentially just remove all the prerequisites so anyone have any level could take it. Keep reading undying warlock 5e.

And then as they level up and as they get a little bit stronger then tricksters escape would become a little bit more prevalent, this is better in every way as far as i can tell and i think this is a great way to kind of get them involved in playing that kind of character anyways, so the roleplay doesn’t change too drastically when they do get to the seventh level. You can also read this pact of the star chain invocations.
