Description

The prerequisite there’s two so you have to have or you have to be at least 5th level that means five levels in warlock not five level total character levels. You also have to have the hex 5e spell or warlock feature that curses so like hexblade that’s be the good example. Now let’s check out the description so we can all get to know how does maddening hex work?

As a bonus action, you cause a psychic disturbance around the target cursed by your hex spell or by a warlock feature of yours, such as Hexblade’s Curse or Sign of Ill Omen. When you do so, you deal psychic damage to the cursed target and each creature of your choice that you can see within 5 feet of it. The psychic damage equals your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1 damage). To use this invocation, you must be able to see the cursed target, and it must be within 30 feet of you.

Okay so pretty cool stuff! A little bit there to break down. Let’s go the overview sction and kind of simplify. You can also check out what is the most powerful monster in d&d.

Overview

Essentially, After a visible target within 30 feet is cursed, you can use a bonus action to cause a psychic blast around them. The target and any creatures within take 5feet of your charisma modifier in psychic damage.

That being said, you know i really like this. It’s a good use of a bonus action. Warlocks don’t have a ton of spells that are bonus actions so this is really good, especially for them. Something i would also like to point though is you can actually choose which creatures.

So i really think this works good for support warlocks, who like dealing like AOE this really reminds me of the warlocks and WOW in all honesty. Just the ability to kind of debuff and dots basically damage over times. This is just fantastic i really like it super cool!
