Mechanics

So it gets resistance to a fire damage which is one of the most common types of damage in the game from a low to high levels. Its breath weapon comes in the form of the 15-foot cone which is a dexterity save. On a successful save the creature takes half damage. It’s fire damage which kind of makes sense.

  • Resistance: Fire
  • Breath Weapon: 15ft. Cone(Dex. Save)
  • Fire Damage
  • DC=8+CON MOD+PRO
  • 1st level: 2d6, 6th level: 3d6, 11th level: 4d6, 16th level: 5d6.

As DC is calculated by eight plus your constitution modifier plus your proficiency bonus. At first level it deals 2d6 damage, at 6th level it deals 3d6, at 11th level 4d6 and at 16th level 5d6 damage. Let’s take a look at its features, personalities and other facts.

Features

In terms of features it can have horns or frills but it’s most common feature is the whiskers that hang down from its chin. Very cool stuff.

Personalities

In terms of personalities they’re usually quite noble and righteous. They’re very reserved but love to help people and harm evil. They enjoy practicing magic and they’re very studious. They treasure art and magical items.

Other Facts

The other facts about them is i have a very orderly, class system. Once again its up to you whether or not you want to incorporate these into your game they’re based off of the gold dragon description in the monster manual. So very cool stuff there. That being said, let’s get into my personal thoughts on them.

Thoughts

I think they’re awesome, i think they make fantastic paladins, fantasic warlocks if you go with the celestial. Great-great-great-great clerics just fantastic overall i really like them. That being said, if you have any thoughts or ideas on the gold dragonborn or how you like to play them or incorporate them into your world. Please put it down beneath in the comment section.
