Hello potential dragonborns of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the fifth episode of our dragonborn subrace series. Today we’re gonna be taking a look at the copper dragon. I haven’t actually seen a whole lot of these being played, they’re quite good and quite interesting. But i can’t at least off the top of my head and think i’ve played with really any of them.
I like the other dragon sub-races these are gonna be found in the players handbook. Now we’re gonna cover their mechanics, features, personalities and other facts about them. That being said let’s take a look at the mechanics now.
Mechanics
They are resistant to acid damage which is particularly good at lower levels. As their breath weapon they can spew forth a five by 30 foot line of acid damage. Creatures in the area must make a dexterity saving throw on a success they take half damage.
- Resistance: Acid
- Breath Weapon: 5 by 30ft. Line(Dex.Save)
- Acid Damage
- DC= 8+Con Mod+Pro
- 1st level: 2d6, 6th level: 3d6, 11th level: 4d6, 16th level: 5d6.
The DC is calculated by eight plus your constitution modifier plus your proficiency bonus. In terms of damage at first level as 2 die six, at sixth level three die six, at eleventh level 4 die six and at sixteenth level five die six which is quite impressive. In terms of their features, personalities and other facts about them.
Features
Their features they have a very angular face structure and they have two primary horns that are pinted backwards almost as though their slicked back.
Personalities
In terms of personalities this is where they’re really interesting. The copper dragonborn are more likely pranksters. They seek to be the center of attention and they value a good sense of humor. If you’d like to get a copper dragonborn to really love you, showing a good sense of humor is a for-sure way to do it. They love wine, they’re rarely evil but they are very greedy.
Other Facts
In terms of other facts they’re usually found in hills and rocky terrains. I really think they’re cool. That being said! let’s take a look at my personal thoughts.
Thoughts
I think they do it really well with the arcane trickster trickery domain or as a bard. All of those kind of fall into their personality quite well. That being said, feel free to get as creative as you want…right! I could see a couple of the monks being really good with them as well. Yeah! I just really like them let me know what you think down beneath.
Conclusion
That all being said! Thank you so much everyone for tuning in today i really do appreciate it. That being said, i hope you all have a wonderful day and as always happy adventuring.
