Hello adventurers of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 51st episode of our feat series. Today we’re going to be taking a look at one of the simplest yet most customizable feats in the entire game. Today we’re going to be taking a look at skilled dnd 5e feat this feat is found in the players handbook so we should all have access to it. And honestly it’s really really good…i’ll explain why in a little bit here. In the meantime let’s take a look at the description.
Description
First and foremost there is no prerequisite for this spell. Meaning anyone of any race, class, skill set or ability can take it no problem. And the description is a super super simple one, you gain proficiency in any combination of three skills or tools of your choice. Not really a whole lot to dissect there but let me explain it to you a little bit better down in the walkthrough section.
Walkthrough
So needless to say, there’s a huge amount of customization you can take. I would also make an argument that this applies to game sets as well. So essentially just pick three try to go with the ones that work best for your character or in the campaign and setting your in, i mean stealth is always a solid choice, persuasion always a solid choice, perception always a solid choice, investigation likewise those are probably the better ones of the skills to picked but ultimately whatever you’re using the most of tools you know these tools are a really solid choice to pick with this.
Masons tools can use great effect, navigator tools if you’re on a seafaring journey leatherworker like honestly there is a ton of them in a future article i’m probably going to be breaking down the various tools and kind of see what each one can and can’t be used for. That being said, until that happens i mean just feel free to look into them there’s a ton a lot of them are super great and this gold one resonates with you. That being said, let’s take a look at my personal thoughts on it.
Thoughts
In terms of who benefits most you know any class that doesn’t get a huge amount of expertise so i can really see a lot of wizards benefitting from this and make them far more well-rounded characters, as well as some fighters and barbarians to various degrees as well i can really see getting a lot out of them.
It really adds an extra dimension to your character as a whole and because of that i really really like it. It’s also way you can kind of change up your character midway through the game and it makes sense from a thematic standpoint as well.
Conclusion
That being said, if you have any crazy alternative uses or ideas or comments or build ideas or combinations please let me know down in the comments as well. If you have any cool stories involving this feat. I’d really like to hear what you guys have to say, i love reading them and i know everyone else checking this article does as well. That being said, have a great day and as always happy adventuring.
